Roofing services
for Colorado Springs
& Pueblo
Alta handles 9 services across Colorado Springs and Pueblo, from a cracked pipe boot to a full storm rebuild: replacement, repair, hail restoration, insurance claims, Class 4 roofing, attic ventilation, and gutters, windows and solar detach and reset. Our team brings 90 years of combined team experience, and every install carries a lifetime workmanship warranty.
Alta Roofing is a full‑service, storm‑focused roofer working Colorado Springs, Pueblo and the towns around them. We replace and repair roofs in asphalt, metal, tile and TPO, restore hail and wind damage, and manage the entire insurance claim, plus the exterior trades a storm takes with it. Attic ventilation is designed into every roof we build. On a covered claim, your deductible is typically your only out‑of‑pocket cost, and financing is available for work that sits outside a claim.

Gutters, Windows & Solar Detach and Reset
Hail rarely hits just the roof, and a roof replacement often means the panels have to come off. We restore the exterior on one claim: one-piece gutter runs formed on site, windows, paint, garage doors, and solar detach and reset, with one crew and one schedule.

Solar Panel Removal & Reinstallation
If your roof needs replacing and you have solar, the panels have to come off first and go back on after. We handle the full detach and reset in step with the roof, so you are not stuck coordinating a roofer and a solar company against each other.

Built for southern Colorado, specifically.
Colorado, Nebraska and Wyoming make up hail alley, and El Paso County is among the counties in it with more than 1,500 recorded hailstorms since 1950. Our roofs also fight high‑altitude ultraviolet and a freeze‑thaw cycle that runs most of the year. A roof spec that is fine in most states gets tested hard here.
Hail-ready materials
Impact-resistant options rated to UL 2218 Class 4, for the storms El Paso and Pueblo counties actually see.
Insurance-first documentation
Test squares, soft metals and elevations, documented the way an adjuster scopes a roof.
One contractor, every trade
Roof, gutters, windows, paint and solar detach and reset, restored together on one claim.
Ventilation on every job
Intake and exhaust sized by Net Free Area before the shingles go on, so your manufacturer warranty holds.

Roofing & insurance questions.
On a covered claim, your only out-of-pocket is typically your policy deductible. The approved claim covers the rest of the restoration, including any recoverable depreciation released once the work is finished. On your free inspection we walk you through your specific policy, your deductible and whether it is a percentage or a flat figure, so there are no surprises when the first check arrives.
You usually cannot tell from the ground, which is exactly why our inspection is free and photo-documented. We check the soft metals first, the gutters, downspouts, vents and window wraps, because they bruise before shingles do and they help date the storm. Then we lay out test squares on each slope and count the hits the way an adjuster will. Then you get an honest answer on whether a claim is worth filing.
We recommend the opposite. Filing a claim that gets denied can still sit on your loss history, so let us inspect and document first. If there is genuine, claimable damage, we help you file it right the first time and we meet your adjuster on the roof.
No, and be cautious of any Colorado roofer who offers to. Colorado Senate Bill 12-038 prohibits a residential roofing contractor from paying, waiving or rebating any part of your insurance deductible on a claim-funded job, and the same law requires that statement in writing in your contract. We do it by the book, which protects your home and your coverage.
Usually. C.R.S. 10-4-110.8 requires homeowner insurers writing in Colorado to account for impact-resistant roofing in their rates, and most carriers pass that through as a credit. The size of the credit varies by carrier, and it is not automatic, you generally need qualifying UL 2218 Class 4 materials, a closed permit and the manufacturer's certificate sent to your insurer. We put that packet together for you.
The roof itself is usually a one to two day job once materials are on site. The longer part of the timeline is the insurer's, and the permit. We pull the permit, keep you posted at every step, and we do not stock materials on your driveway before the permit is issued, because in the Pikes Peak region that earns a stop-work order and a triple fee.
