Free roof inspection
in Colorado Springs
& Pueblo
Book a free, photo‑documented inspection and get a straight answer after about 20 minutes on the roof. We lay out test squares, check the soft metals and the attic, and tell you whether you have storm damage worth claiming before you ever call your insurer. It costs nothing, whether or not you hire us.
A claim that gets denied can still sit on your loss history without paying you anything. That is why Alta inspects and documents first, then tells you the truth: if there is genuine, claimable hail or wind damage, we help you file it right. If there is not, we tell you that too, with the photos.
20 minutes on the roof, a straight answer off it.
The roof, slope by slope
Marked test squares on each slope and elevation with the strikes counted, the way an adjuster scopes a roof. Not a walk to the ridge and a verdict.
The soft metals first
Gutters, downspouts, vents, window wraps and the air conditioner fins. They bruise before shingles do and they help establish the size of the stone and the date of the storm.
Inside the attic
Deck condition, daylight, moisture, insulation and where your bath fans actually terminate, plus whether your intake and exhaust ventilation is adequate.
An honest verdict
Repair, replace, file a claim, or nothing at all. We tell you what we would do on our own house.
Your Class 4 and coverage options
Whether an impact-resistant upgrade makes sense for your exposure and your carrier, and what documentation they will want.
No cost, ever
The inspection is free whether or not you ever hire us. That is the point.

On a covered claim, your only out-of-pocket is typically your policy deductible. The approved claim covers the rest of the restoration, including any recoverable depreciation released once the work is finished. On your free inspection we walk you through your specific policy, your deductible and whether it is a percentage or a flat figure, so there are no surprises when the first check arrives.
You usually cannot tell from the ground, which is exactly why our inspection is free and photo-documented. We check the soft metals first, the gutters, downspouts, vents and window wraps, because they bruise before shingles do and they help date the storm. Then we lay out test squares on each slope and count the hits the way an adjuster will. Then you get an honest answer on whether a claim is worth filing.
We recommend the opposite. Filing a claim that gets denied can still sit on your loss history, so let us inspect and document first. If there is genuine, claimable damage, we help you file it right the first time and we meet your adjuster on the roof.
No, and be cautious of any Colorado roofer who offers to. Colorado Senate Bill 12-038 prohibits a residential roofing contractor from paying, waiving or rebating any part of your insurance deductible on a claim-funded job, and the same law requires that statement in writing in your contract. We do it by the book, which protects your home and your coverage.
Usually. C.R.S. 10-4-110.8 requires homeowner insurers writing in Colorado to account for impact-resistant roofing in their rates, and most carriers pass that through as a credit. The size of the credit varies by carrier, and it is not automatic, you generally need qualifying UL 2218 Class 4 materials, a closed permit and the manufacturer's certificate sent to your insurer. We put that packet together for you.
The roof itself is usually a one to two day job once materials are on site. The longer part of the timeline is the insurer's, and the permit. We pull the permit, keep you posted at every step, and we do not stock materials on your driveway before the permit is issued, because in the Pikes Peak region that earns a stop-work order and a triple fee.
A lifetime workmanship warranty from Alta on the installation, plus the manufacturer warranty on the materials. Manufacturer warranties are available for any shingle type we install, and IKO is our primary brand. We register the warranty in your name and hand you the paperwork at closeout rather than leaving you to chase it.
Yes. Financing is available through a broker for homeowners who would rather spread the cost than pay it in one go, including on repairs and upgrades that sit outside an insurance claim. We will talk you through the options at the inspection.
Yes, 24/7, including emergency tarping. If a storm opens your roof at nine at night, call us and we will get it covered and dry before the next round of weather, then deal with the permanent repair and the claim in daylight.
Peace of mind is one call away.
