Welcome to ALTAROOF Specialist fibreglass flat roofing contractors.

The owner of ALTAROOF is Steve Simon, who has over 35 years experience in flat roofing both at home and abroad. Steve started his career at the age of 15 years with a local company. In those days all that was on offer was the basic hot bitumen and rag based felt.
At the age of 18 Steve went on to sub contract for the larger firms in Manchester. Working on larger contracts such as  Cellafield nuclear plant, Manchester airport, and the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield .

In the 1980s  he went on to work for the London companies, with more advanced flat roof systems, such as Fibreglass. Having worked with many different flat roofing systems, Steve chose fibreglass to be in his opinion the way forward in the 21st century. After a spell working in Germany  Steve settled back in Wrexham and began working for himself. His aim is to change every  flat roof  he comes across, to fibreglass.

So please feel free to browse through our web site, and find out why fibreglass  is the answer to yourFlat roofing problems.

I will tell you why. Rubber is not seamless, the seams are held together with glue.
This will eventually come apart allowing water to seep in. The membrane is also very easily punctured and cannot be walked on.

Fibreglass is totally seam less, no joins means no water. It is 3 times thicker than rubber so can be walked on. It cannot be punctured with a knife and is the toughest.
